Note to world #422

She felt more than a tinge of alarmed regret when people started advising her to be more rational about love and relationships – and she started believing them.  It meant ruling out the more interesting possibilities, the ones that plucked at her heart and made her mind sing.  She was quite reluctant to leave behind her hopes of messy hot passion for stability and deeply affectionate hand holding. But she was getting older and “messy hot” was an emotional acrobatic endeavor she could no longer do for any sustained period of time.
