Plan B

She would sidle up to the windows of her day and witness herself in various scenes. Outside looking in, the way it had been for so long – a stranger to her own present tense. Lately, she was trying hard to insinuate herself into the picture but climbing through the windows in a skirt and heels was proving a perilous task.

When she failed to scale the window ledge for the umpteenth time, she cursed under her breath. Her outside self quickly sent her inside self texts and emails to prompt and cue her about the right emotional responses and reactions.

She didn’t give up easily, especially on herself. But she needed another plan and until she had one, this would have to suffice.

And everyone else wondered why they never saw her without both her blackberry and her iPhone.
